The Speedypress 101HD steam ironing press is a large, professional ironing press designed to make ironing faster and easier than a traditional iron. With a 101cm pressing surface and powerful steam performance, this clothes press delivers consistent, professional results while significantly reducing ironing time. Ideal for both home and light commercial use.

The Speedypress 101HD is a heavy-duty steam ironing press built for handling large volumes of ironing quickly and efficiently. With a pressing surface up to 30 times larger than a standard iron, it allows you to press garments, bedding, and household laundry in far less time. Compared to a traditional iron, this garment press delivers even pressure and consistent heat across a wide area, improving results while reducing effort.

Key Benefits

The extra-large 101cm pressing plate allows you to cover more fabric in one press, helping reduce ironing time by up to 75%. Powerful steam output, including automatic steam and a booster function, helps remove stubborn creases with ease. The press is suitable for everything from delicate fabrics to heavy materials and can handle multiple layers, including king size bedding, making it ideal for high-volume ironing.

Ease of Use

Designed to be simple and practical, the Speedypress ironing press requires minimal effort. The pressure-sensitive handle means only light pressure is needed, while the press applies consistent force automatically. The wide opening angle provides more space for larger items, and clear controls make it easy to select the right settings. The included telescopic stand allows comfortable use while sitting or standing, helping reduce physical strain.

Is an ironing press faster than using a conventional iron?

Yes. The pressing plate is much larger than a standard iron, allowing you to press more fabric in one movement. This makes ironing significantly faster. Many customers reduce their ironing time by up to 75%, especially when pressing items such as shirts, trousers, bedding, and duvet covers.

Are ironing presses easy to use?

Yes. Ironing presses are designed to be simple and practical to use. After a short period of practice, most users feel confident operating them. Simply position the garment, lower the handle, and let the press apply consistent heat and pressure for effective crease removal.

Can I iron shirts with an ironing press?

Yes. Shirts are one of the most commonly pressed items. Once you are familiar with the process, a standard shirt can usually be pressed in around 1–2 minutes, making it much quicker than using a conventional iron.

Can a steam ironing press also be used as a dry press?

Yes. All steam ironing presses can also be used as dry presses without water. This is ideal for lightly creased garments or when fabrics are slightly damp.

What fabrics can be pressed with an ironing press?

Ironing presses are suitable for a wide range of fabrics when the correct temperature setting is selected, including:

  • Cotton
  • Linen
  • Wool
  • Polyester
  • Silk
  • Nylon

Always choose the appropriate setting to ensure safe and effective results.

Can an ironing press press multiple layers of fabric?

Yes. Many fabrics can be pressed in multiple layers, helping you complete ironing more efficiently. Depending on the material and thickness, up to four layers can often be pressed at once.

Do I need a stand for an ironing press?

No, a stand is not essential. Ironing presses can be used on any stable surface. However, a stand can provide a more comfortable working height and improved stability, especially during longer ironing sessions.

Do ironing presses use more electricity than a regular iron?

No. Most ironing presses use a similar amount of energy to a conventional iron. Because they complete ironing more quickly, they are often used for less time, which can help reduce overall energy usage.

How long should the press be closed when pressing garments?

In most cases, 2–4 seconds is enough to remove creases. Thicker fabrics may require slightly longer. The exact time depends on the fabric type, thickness, and temperature setting.

How much pressure does an ironing press apply?

When fully closed, many ironing presses apply up to 100 lbs of even pressure across the garment. This consistent pressure helps deliver fast crease removal and crisp, professional results.

How should I store my ironing press?

Most ironing presses include a locking system that keeps the plates securely closed when not in use. This allows for safe storage either flat or upright, helping save space.

"I bought the press with a stand. I thinks it’s designed for very small people and I have to stoop to use it. My press said 30x the size of an iron and again that is a tiny iron. Not sure how you iron king size sheets as you can’t get to the middle of the sheet without crumpling the rest "
Susi Crane

"This gadget has halved the time spent ironing bedding GREAT INVESTMENT!! "

"I have a small b&b business and mainly needed a press for king size bedding. I did a lot of research and thought I had found the perfect product, as the Speedypress 101HD was specifically advertised as suitable for 'king size' bedding. I was really looking forward to using the press but u"

"I love the press. It does a professional job of my pillowcases and general ironing. I bought it to do pillowcases to reduce the cost of my holiday lets laundry bill. Small things great, but don’t buy if you want to do duvet covers. Its a faff and mine ended up more creased by the time I wa"
Kelly l Warman

"It only takes a third of the time I used to spend ironing."
Mrs Waddell

"Useful bit of kit let down by some basic design errors. When ironing sheets there is insufficient space at the hinge for the fabric making ironing difficult. This space could very easily be made bigger. Also spits water on steam boost setting and gives surprisingly little steam on standard setting. "
Jane S

"The iron is great, we have a holiday let so the sheets now are a lot easier to do. It takes up some floor space but that's to be expected. "
Gary Hester

"The stand is not tall enough. It takes a long time to heat up from cold and the recovery time between each operation is also not fast. There is little room to the rear of the press to for material from large items. This is not an item I would buy again."
